Packaging so awesome, Ima cry

This is student work and it's absolutely amazing. I'm quite jealous. Designed by Linna Xu, this Ilford 120 film packaging resembles a Twin Lens Reflex Camera from the 1800's.via TheDieline

Bow to Audrey
Audrey Kuwasaki posted this over at her blog to remind us how awesome she is. Sorry Audrey, we never forgot.
Raccoon is good at drawing

Raccoon Nook is an awesome illustrator from Brooklyn. The mood of a lot of his work reminds me of some stuff I recall from Animatrix (better than every Matrix sequel combined).

A sunny picture for a rainy day
I love this drawing by Dean Trippe! So wonderful. Perfect way to start a morning after a previous evening's drinking has left me sore and tired.via i09

I think I want some of this crap
I have never had Marmite. Apparently it's somekind of vegan substitute for fun things like beef and is often used as a savory bread spread. With beautiful packaging like this created by Core Design, I'll take a carton full of your yeasty-ass spread.via The Dieline
The Dark Lord is in need of assistance!
My 100th post! How appropriate that it is Star Wars related! Check out this World War 2 style Star Wars propaganda poster by Cliff Chiang! More Present x Vintage x Future poster design over at KRonikle.Let us celebrate this 100th post with peanut butter and wine.

Letterforms by Marc Javier
Awesome photo by Marc Javier! As a non-photographer, I'm really quite jealous of folks who do it so skillfully. Marc is one of those folks. Check out his site and blog for more pretty pictures.
Anna does something acceptable. Society confused
I don't know how she's managed it, but Anna actually went and did something good. Dare I say, even wonderful. A lovely drawing of peanut butter treats. Thanks Hurlz!

I need some new kicks - how about these?

Looking at my shoes the other day, I realized that the San Francisco rains have seriously taken it's toll on my once pristine white Adidas (covered in a combination of mud, oil, and possibly cat shit). I think it's time for something DARKER - a bit more serious, but something that'll provide some SWAGGER. These shoes from the adidas Originals Five Two-3 OT Tech Spring 2010 collection are exactly what the streetwear doctor ordered. Love the blue accents on these.via Hypebeast
Future isn't now. At least this painting is awesome.
I am a real sucker for vintage future utopia paintings. So it comes as no surprise that I absolutely love this painting that was used for this Kotaku post (a bit random, no?).

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 looks shockingly uncrappy

As a boy who has never owned a Super Nintendo, I was always jealous of those who did. I had a Sega Genesis. Sure, we didn't have have Mario, Final Fantasy, or a good version of Street Figther 2, but dammit, we had Sonic. Sonic was awesome. He was fast and was full to 'tude. JUST LIKE ME - or so thought the 12 year old Ion.In the past few years though, Sonic has pretty much been horrible. Gone were the 2D blazing fast levels - replaced by 3D exploring. That's not Sonic! Where's the 'tude?! Where's the speed?!
Well after 10 years or so, Sega has finally answered our cries to bring back the Sonic of yore. They are releasing Sonic 4 and it looks like a return to form. Check out this badly filmed video of someone playing it... AWESOME!

Any excuse to talk about Jenny Lewis
I believe my obsession with Ms. Lewis doesn't run as deeply these days, but I still really dig this photo I found a few weeks back. I've probably seen it prior to the release of Acid Tongue, but had no blog to post it to. Old news.Back to obsessing over Gaga.
